As a photographer, it's always great to see my images published in an editorial context. So I was really pleased when a regular client; Liverpool John Moores University asked me to help out with some editorial photography for a forthcoming book publication about the history of the institution. As a large organisation, they already had a large photo library to work with, re-licencing old images, but they had quite a few photographic gaps in terms of buildings and details that needed shooting. I worked with the authors to finalise a shoot list and nailed down the exact locations of what they needed.
It was really interesting few days work - scouting the locations and then waiting for the right weather at the right time of day for the final photography.
The book - The Making of a Modern University - was recently published and I was lucky enough to receive a copy, so below are some tear sheets, highlighting my work.
Also my work regularly appears in their inhouse magazine called 'Think' here a couple of photographs from the most recent edition.
Of course if you are in the process of putting together a publication, like a book or a magazine and need some up to date photography commissioned, don't hesitate to give me a call. While I am based in central Liverpool, I work across Merseyside and the North-West.

I always spend a little time each year in January checking my SEO metrics and potential impacts on search engine rankings for my site. Not all of them are new, infact a few are quite old but they hit a spot and keep getting impressions and all important clicks. Read more...
