Work for a freelance photographer is never easy and in recent days has got much tougher. I've had pretty much every job cancelled, or postponed until this health crisis with the Covid 19 outbreak is over and under control.
In between home schooling my son, I'm trying to be productive.
Keeping social media channels updated - I recently bit the bullet and started an Instagram - https://www.instagram.com/davidjcolbran.photographer/ and continuing virtual networking with LinkedIn.
Also I am spending a lot of time going back through my photo archive, revisiting older work and uploading images to various stock libraries. The financial return isn't what it used to be, but better something than nothing, with images hidden away on backup drives.
With all the extra free time, I'm learning some new video skills and techniques, in particular live streaming software and broadcasting platforms. Events will come back eventually and if I can offer additional services, that can't be a bad thing.
Finally, of course creating some new work. I have a small home studio and have a series of coloured light boxes. So a little personal project continues at pace. No doubt to be featured in the next blog post.
Until then a small selection of images from a recent commercial shoot down in London. Thanks for reading and stay safe !

"David is an amazing Liverpool based photographer. Not just in his professionalism and demeanour, but in his clear understanding of how to create the best images for clients. We worked together on a number of commercial projects and it was quality both in terms of content and prompt delivery of files every time. Absolutely no problem recommending him, he is a true pro at what he does !"
